One year seems very short if you always have something to do and arranged your days full. It’s just like yesterday when GN attended CIPPE 2015 from Beijing, it comes the new year and the new CIPPE Oil Show, CIPPE 2016.

What did GN show for CIPPE 2015?

1. At the beginning of Year 2015, GN designed a compact drilling cuttings waste management system, a combination of GNCD930C vertical cuttings dryer and GNLW363CG-VFD decanter centrifuge, between the two equipment is a tank for receiving the drilling fluids from the vertical cuttings dryer and for feeding the centrifuge. It is a compact design, even suitable for land transportation without taking down the centrifuge and V-G dryer.

2. GN whole family of decanter centrifuges. For the most popular model GNLW363CG-VFD you could check on the waste management system skid, other centrifuges, GNLW223 of 9 inch bowl, GNLW452 of 18 inch bowl but middle speed, GNLW553 of 22 inch bowl.

3. Main equipment for solids control systems, like shale shaker, mud cleaner and etc. 

During CIPPE 2015, many clients and potential clients visited GN Solids Control’s booth and checked GN’s products, some of them visited GN’s factory after seeing GN’s booth and they gave good comments on GN’s producing capability.

Decanter centrifuge use for control drilling fluid viscosity.

Drilling fluid containing ultrafine solids that size of 2 micron to 5 micron which has been separated by decanter centrifuge is sent to the storage tank to storage. For control of the viscosity of the weighted drilling fluid is achieved by removing solids and colloidal particles that can cause high viscosity in the drilling fluid.  The barites dicharged from the sediment export are sent back to drilling fluid circulating system for reuse.

The drilling fluid and barites can not be completely separated by using centrifuge during this process because that there are also large size of low density cuttings in the recovery of barites; Similarly,  the drilling fluid in the overflow contains both low density of fine solids and also very small and un-useful  barites particles.

There are use bentonites and finishing agent and also un-useful barites particles in the drilling fluid which is discharged and stored without being used. Therefore, we should add bentonites and treating agent to drilling fluid when adding the fresh liquid to the drilling fluid.

GNLW series decanter centrifuge line offer bowl size of 9 inches, 14 inches, 18 inches and  22 inches that can meet the demand of different treating capacity.  Besides the bowl size, it also offer the various speed adjustment and fixed speed to meet the demand of  mud treating for the drilling mud. GN 500 GPM Series Mud System for HDD or Other Trenchless Drilling

GNMS-500D fiscal mud cleaning system, also referred to as the desander unit can be used to clean drilling slurry regarding bored piling. It is a two phase treatment plant using a desander mini cleaner attached with a mud tank which is split up into two compartments: shaker inner compartment and desander compartment. Usually no mud mixing system is needed. The slurry popping out from bore piles will likely be collected in a mud abyss from which a submersible slurry pump will deliver the slurry to smoothly and stably feed GN 2 period mud treating cleaner by using a buffer box. The slurry will flow across the little cleaner’s bottom deck predetermined with 25 mesh screen leading the liquids blended with fine solids to through the screen openings while rough solids to stay on the screen and move forward until going out. The liquids are going to be collected at shaker inner compartment and pumped to the desander cyclone for the second phase treatment with particles around 40 microns being segregated.
